1:  With the wrench that is included in the kit, remove the four screws from the botton of the case by turning the screws counter clockwise.

Important:  Eject Stylus Pen from unit before continuing.  Unit will not separate unless the pen is removed.

2:  Take the screw driver that is included in the kit, start at the bottom of the IPAQ and begin prying open the two halves of the case.

3:  Pry all around the case until the full length of the case pops open.

4:  The battery connector can be disconnected from the motherboard by gently pulling on the ribbon cable.

5:  Remove the old battery from the case cover. Place the new battery in the case within the guide brackets paying close attention to the orientation of the connector.  The connector should point toward the bottom of the unit. The original glue should be enough to hold the new battery in place.

6:  Re-connect the ribbon cable by positioning it over the socket on the motherboard and gently pushing it in.  Check that the stylus lock and reset switch cover are still in there proper place.  Snap the two unit pieces back together and put back the four screws.  Your new battery will need a minimum of three hours of charging before first use.  (Six hours charging for 2200 mAh battery)
